Join our team, where your expertise can make a true impact!</p><p>Reporting to, the Projects Construction Manager. &#xa0;The Project Controls Engineer (PCE) is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including scheduling, planning, estimating, and cost control tasks that include analysis and reporting. The PCE is also responsible for developing and updating a master schedule and verifying contractor’s monthly schedules and reviewing baseline schedules utilizing Microsoft Project and other scheduling software.</p><p><strong>Key Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to develop and maintain a master schedule with interrelationships between projects.</li><li>Must be competent in the development and analysis of detailed project schedules.</li><li>Must be experienced in developing and using performance trackers for analysing manpower, equipment, and construction progress</li><li>Ability to organize, analyze, and present information regarding costs and schedules.</li><li>Must be experienced in preparing estimates and evaluating contractor cost proposals.</li><li>Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly, concisely, and effectively with team and other personnel.</li><li>Ability to prepare reports for various purposes.</li><li>Must be experienced in Project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office software.</li><li>Must have proficiency in English language both verbal and written.</li><li>Scheduling experience for complex heavy industrial projects is preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for tracking invoice flow, developing work schedule, monitoring cost, or assisting in the development of project work breakdown structure and sequencing.</li><li>Collect progress data from site personnel and assemble into progress report.</li><li>Update master schedule and various project schedules.</li><li>Review contractor baseline schedules and verify contractor’s monthly updated schedules for accuracy and contractor compliance.</li><li>Assist in the review and audit contractor’s invoices.</li><li>Prepare status reports for progress, schedule, and cost.</li><li>Generate cash flow reports and graphs.</li><li>Prepare what-if analyses based on cost and time impacts.</li><li>Prepare estimates based on available information to establish project budgets.</li><li>Review and evaluate contractor proposals and change order requests.</li><li>Promote safety health &amp; environmental awareness cross all projects</li></ul><p><strong>Required Capabilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to enforce safety</li><li>Ability to identify hazards within the work area and act</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to think analytically</li><li>A motivated self-starter who can operate autonomously when required.</li><li>Ability to work with multi-cultural teams</li><li>Strong results orientation and ability to consistently deliver against the plan</li><li>Excellent planning, organizing and prioritization capabilities</li><li>Acts in a manner that builds trust and demonstrates integrity</li><li>Develops and maintains a positive working relation with others</li><li>Promotes high levels of accountability and employee empowerment</li><li>Committed to continuously improving the safe and efficient operation of the mine</li><li>Acts with a sense of urgency when troubleshooting and resolving problems&#xa0;</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills&#xa0;</li><li>Microsoft Office, Excel and Project software - Report writing, cost reporting and scheduling ability</li><li>The ability to read and understand construction drawings</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee&#xa0;is regularly required to&#xa0;stand, sit,&#xa0;demonstrate&#xa0;manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk,&#xa0;hear&#xa0;and see</li><li>Must be able to work shift work with&#xa0;12-hour&#xa0;shifts&#xa0;</li><li>Occasionally may be&#xa0;required&#xa0;to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday</li><li>Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity</li><li>Personal protective equipment is&#xa0;required&#xa0;when performing work in a mine environment, including hard&#xa0;hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing,&#xa0;gloves&#xa0;and any other protective equipment as&#xa0;required.&#xa0;</li></ul>",
