          "text": "<p>Under supervision, performs a variety of tasks in connection with the preparation, storage and serving of foodstuffs, including dietary foods; may supervise a small group of Food Service Workers in an assigned food service activity; ensures that assigned dining and kitchen areas and equipment are kept clean and in good repair; and performs related duties as required.</p><p><strong>Examples of Essential Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Supervises and sets up food counters and tables; performs tray line activities such as serving food portions, checking trays and collecting and tallying meal tickets.</li><li>&#xa0;Assists in the preparation and serving of meals for special diet cases; works in special diet stations; prepares baby formulas; uses specialized equipment connected with dietary services.</li><li>Supervises and works in a vegetable room, cleaning and otherwise preparing vegetables for cooking by hand or machine; replenishes food supplies; cleans and services various machines, tools and equipment used in the food preparation process.</li><li>Participates in the cleaning of dining and kitchen areas, including the washing of dishes, pots, pans and other utensils.</li></ul><p><u><strong>2026 Camp Mather Dates:</strong></u><br>\n<strong>April 19, 2026:</strong>  Arrival at camp. Sunday&#xa0;and Monday are mandatory workdays - the one days off will be scheduled during the&#xa0;remainder&#xa0;of the week.&#xa0;<br>\n<strong>September 25, 2026:</strong> Conclusion of camp assignment&#xa0;</p><p><u><strong>Policies and Expectations of Staff</strong></u></p><p>Employees are expected to follow the policies as described in the Camp Mather 2026 Workplace Policies and Expectations. Failure to follow these policies may result in termination.</p><p><u><strong>Work Conditions at Camp Mather</strong></u></p><p><strong>Housing and Meals:</strong> During employment, FREE meals and housing is provided to camp employees.&#xa0;Camp staff live in shared housing with 1 - 2 other camp staff.</p><p><strong>Nature of Work:</strong> Includes working both indoors and outdoors, exposure to sun, snow, rain, high/low temperatures, and potential wildfire smoke, and will regularly encounter bugs and insects.</p><p><strong>Work Schedule:&#xa0;</strong>The work week is typically five (5) days. Kitchen staff may be required to work an alternate work schedule consisting of&#xa0;10 – 12 hour shifts with appropriate breaks or work six (6) days (limited to&#xa0;40 hours in a work week), during the high season to accommodate the needs of the department. Shifts may also include weekends and evenings.&#xa0;Sunday&#xa0;and Monday are mandatory workdays - the one days off will be scheduled during the&#xa0;remainder&#xa0;of the week.</p><p><strong>Work Location:</strong>&#xa0;Camp Mather&#xa0;is located in&#xa0;the High Sierra near Yosemite National Park about 3 hours east of San Francisco.&#xa0;The nearest town (Groveland) is located 50 mins away.</p><p><strong>Transportation:</strong> Camp Mather employees are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from Camp Mather. Parking is available for personal vehicles. Public transportation and Rideshare Apps (Uber/Lyft) are limited and are not a reliable source because of our remote location.</p><p><strong>Cell Phone &amp; Internet</strong>: <strong>Camp Mather has VERY limited cellular and internet/Wi-Fi services available on its grounds.</strong></p><p>Kitchen staff will be working with various cleaning chemicals as part of the position requirements.&#xa0;</p><p><u><strong>Available Work Assignments:</strong></u>&#xa0;<strong>Staff will live onsite from April 19th to September 25th.</strong></p>",
