    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Location: Wyomissing, Pennsylvania</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>A Foreman will oversee and lead one specific concrete project at a time and manage a crew of 3-10 field employees.  The Foreman must always ensure a safe and efficient workplace. This position is responsible for the coordination of tasks for their employees according to current project needs, produce schedules for team members, and supervise the use of machinery.  As the liaison between employees and Job Superintendent, the Foreman will be the key person in charge of overseeing the completion of the project with a keen awareness of material expenses and employee safety.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> (</span></span><em>“Incidental” job duties may be included but must be indicated.  Other essential and incidental job duties may be assigned)</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate with Field Superintendent and/or Project Manager to schedule job tasks and equipment.</li>\n<li>Coordinate daily tasks and schedules according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel</li>\n<li>Continually provide updates to the Job Site Superintendent and Canyon Management on project status and communicate any needs at the job site.</li>\n<li>Must review and comprehend project scope of work, submittals, and continually review all drawings including all RFIs/ASIs and shop drawings, i.e; Rebar, Elevator and Embeds.</li>\n<li>Required to write and submit at the jobsite a Daily Report summarizing the day’s activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible to place concrete and material orders through Canyon website for assigned job as necessary.</li>\n<li>Develop and present a two week look ahead for the project at the weekly internal scheduling meeting.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Required to hold weekly safety toolbox talks with emphasis on worksite safety and safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment.</li>\n<li>Ensure that daily huddles are held each day to include stretch and flex, hazard analysis, and the daily work assignments.</li>\n<li>Develop and oversee quality standards on the job site.</li>\n<li>Resolve problems with projects, materials, and employees as they arise.</li>\n<li>Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and develop trusting relationships with current customers and seek to identify opportunities to grow our customer base and build positive relationships.</li>\n<li>Performs other related duties as</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years' experience in the concrete construction industry.</li>\n<li>Prior experience managing 5 or more employees on a job site.</li>\n<li>Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and leadership skills.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving abilities.</li>\n<li><span>OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span>CPR required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS (</span>The factors described here are representative of those physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The environmental factors described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Additional factors, if applicable, must be specified.)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.  Must be able to stand, bend, climb and kneel for prolonged periods of time.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Must be able to work safely in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.  Position will require that employee have manual dexterity, good sense of balance and excellent hand-eye coordination.  The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
