The hospital features emergency and critical care, surgical suites, and specialized programs such as imaging, cardiac rehab, sleep disorder care, and hyperbaric medicine, all in a family-oriented environment focused on exceptional patient care.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Completes nursing history and initiates patient education. </li>\n <li> Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members. </li>\n <li> Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. Evaluates care outcomes. </li>\n <li> Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision. </li>\n <li> Introduces new employees/students to unit routines. </li>\n <li> Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.</li>\n <li> Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters.</li>\n <li> Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.</li>\n <li> Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education:</strong>            </p>\n<p>None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:          </strong></p>\n<p>New graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1)<strong> </strong>Year experience). </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Licensure Requirement:       </strong></p>\n<p>Valid Tennessee RN license.
