Based in New York City, the position provides an exceptional opportunity for individuals with aviation, accounting, or finance experience. The Finance Associate will assist with key aspects of building and managing the aviation investment portfolio, with a particular focus on monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on existing investments.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Prior accounting, finance, or operations experience is required. Aviation experience is a plus but not required. Individuals with accounting, operations, audit, or valuation backgrounds and/or with strong quantitative backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Stellar performers will have significant room for growth.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Compile and manage monthly investor reporting (monthly marks, P&L attribution, performance tracking, cash management, asset exposure, portfolio analysis)</li>\n <li>Assist with deal-level cash flows including monthly distributions, lessee payments, scheduled debt repayments, aircraft maintenance contributions, miscellaneous expense payments, and follow-on investments</li>\n <li>Assist with the completion of monthly investor reporting tasks (monthly marks, P&L attribution, performance tracking, capital deployment, asset exposure)</li>\n <li>Assist with monitoring existing aviation investments by tracking flight history and maintenance condition and by maintaining internal asset management databases</li>\n <li>Review and approve the payments of expenses, fees, and other invoices</li>\n <li>Assist with all aviation-related bookkeeping entries across proprietary accounting databases to ensure accuracy</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with all debt facilities (delivering financial statements, completing reporting tasks, and other essential responsibilities)</li>\n <li>Develop, manage, and maintain databases for invoices and maintenance records</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance with exceptional academic credentials</li>\n <li>1 – 4 years’ experience in accounting/operations, valuation, investment banking, private equity, investment management, consulting, or aircraft leasing</li>\n <li>Aviation experience is required</li>\n <li>Strong U.S. GAAP / IFRS and technical accounting expertise (CPA or equivalent is a strong plus)</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and statistics principles</li>\n <li>Demonstrable skills in Excel</li>\n <li>Quantitative aptitude</li>\n <li>Salesforce experience a plus, but not required</li>\n <li>Experience with aviation software platforms (AerData, Leaseworks, Sysco, Leasepoint, Aerlytix, etc.) a plus, but not required</li>\n <li>Highly developed verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li>\n <li>Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence and motivation to learn</li>\n <li>Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task</li>\n <li>Candidate should be a coachable team player who is willing to embrace a collaborative firm culture</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The average salary for this role $125,000 - $150,000 in base pay and is exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, location, skills, training, certifications and education, and in addition we will also consider internal equity and market data.
