Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>May act as back-up Supervisor or Team Lead as Required and Directed.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers.</li><li>Complete Set-up and start-up of injected molding machines.</li><li>Applies injection molding principles and molding theories to troubleshoot and process molding operations.</li><li>Performs mold and color changes on injection machines.</li><li>Works with Material Handlers and Machine Operators to make sure raw materials within the work cell are readily available.</li><li>Monitors machine operation for compliance to all ISO, health, safety, quality, and efficiency standards; analyze and lead continuous improvements.</li><li>Works with production management to review and organize production activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborates with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment and quality problems within molding cell.</li><li>Evaluates scrap reduction techniques within work cell.</li><li>Monitors and documents daily process conditions; logging changes and drafting detailed mold repair work information form sheets</li><li>Ensures safety, cleanliness, and organization of work area.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills/Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical mindset, reasoning abilities and problem solving skills.</li><li>Good training and leadership skills; team oriented.</li><li>Capable of successfully training new Mold Setter employees without assistance.</li><li>Completion of &quot;Fundamentals of Injection Molding&quot; Paulson Training.</li><li>Successful completion of &ldquo;Technology of Injection Molding &ndash; Level 3 Module with SkillBuilder Simulation&rdquo; Paulson Training.&nbsp;</li><li>Successful completion of &ldquo;Implementing Decoupled Molding&rdquo; Paulson Training.</li><li>Highly motivated.</li><li>Proficiency in Scientific or Decoupled Molding.&nbsp;</li><li>Forklift certification required (or ability to attain certification upon employment)</li><li>Computer proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word.</li><li>Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work overtime as required.</li><li>Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED preferred.</li><li>4+ years Injection Molding experience required; strong molding and processing skills.</li><li>Previous experience in Mold Setter II role (or combination with external experience).</li><li>Experience with injection molding machines. Experience with plastic molding.
