          "text": "<p>The Kitchen Steward is responsible for washing dishes, pots, etc., and ensuring the cleanliness of the culinary area.&#xa0;</p><p>The Kitchen Steward:</p><ul><li>Works as a member of a dishwashing crew ensuring soiled items are placed in proper racks or containers which carry them through a dishwashing machine.</li><li>Inspects, removes, and properly stores all clean items from the dishwashing machine.</li><li>Washes steam kettles, tilt fryers, and food preparation equipment too large to put in dishwashing machines.</li><li>Supplies dishware to food preparation stations as needed; removes soiled dishware and cooking equipment from food preparation stations.</li><li>Keeps work area (floor, machine, shelving, carts, etc.) clean at all times.</li><li>Performs miscellaneous duties, such as polishing silver, working in store room and preparing for banquets, special events, etc., as assigned.<br>\n&#xa0;</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, noise and vibration; the kitchen steward is subject to hazards such as wet floors; proper precautions are taken.</li><li>Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.</li><li>Ability to stand for majority of shift.</li><li>Must be able to inspect all work performed.</li><li>Must be able to reach, bend, squat, and carry loads of up to 50 pounds, as well as push/pull loads of up to 100 pounds so as to be able to restock all items as needed.</li><li>Must be able to sort all silverware as needed.</li><li>Must be able to operate machines and equipment used, but not limited to, are all dishwashing equipment after proper training.&#xa0;</li><li><strong>Must be at least 18&#xa0;years of age</strong>.</li></ul><p>The skills necessary for this position are typically acquired through two months of on–the-job training or through related experience.<br>\n&#xa0;</p>",
