    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Provides respiratory care using critical thinking skills learned and refined through education and experience as a Respiratory Therapist. A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) demonstrates these skills by successfully completing examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and earning the credential RRT. Assesses, evaluates results, and implements complex methods of providing care. Participates in the delivery of care and functions as a specialty clinical resource for other caregivers. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other job duties as assigned.</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assesses the patient.</li>\n <li>Develops the plan of care.</li>\n <li>Implements the plan of care.</li>\n <li>Evaluates the plan of care.</li>\n <li>Administers medications as prescribed.</li>\n <li>Provides patient, family, and/or significant other health teaching/education.</li>\n <li>Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.</li>\n <li>Communicates/collaborates with others in providing patient care.</li>\n <li>Provides clinical leadership.</li>\n <li>Supports life long learning.</li>\n <li>Completes assigned goals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Specifications</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Recent clinical respiratory care experience (hospital, home care, skilled nursing facility) and/or previous respiratory care practice.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Required</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current state license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred/Desired</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1 year hospital experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>State license and/or \"RRT\" credential in accordance to the National Board of Respiratory Care.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Required</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current state license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred/Desired</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hospital and Departmental Orientation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Required</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Successful completion of Hospital and Departmental orientation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred/Desired</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Special Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Computer literacy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Required</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer knowledge using Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred/Desired</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Licensure</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Successful completion of entry and advanced level exams for RCPs.
