    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Under the direction of the Slot Technician Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, major overhauls, and modifications to various casino assets as well as other assigned duties. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Motivates, leads by example, and provides a learning environment. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures.&nbsp;<strong>Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains and repairs slot /video machines and associated progressive meters on gaming floor including preventative maintenance of these units&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Responsible for mechanical and electrical repairs at the circuit board level</li>\n <li>Maintains and repairs gaming-related units such as automated card shufflers, Cage equipment (currency counters), Park and Pay, and HERMES printing machine</li>\n <li>Complies with pre-determined internal controls and procedures, as well as safety and security standards</li>\n <li>Performs machine installations, moves and conversions along with ensuring that such activities are properly documented to comply with regulatory and internal requirements&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assists in lifting slot machines and other equipment on a regular basis</li>\n <li>Troubleshoots electronic issues</li>\n <li>Verifies set-up of slot machines for game play</li>\n <li>Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, employees, vendors and regulators</li>\n <li>Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned or directed</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Education and Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and \"all about the guest\" attitude!</strong></li>\n <li><span>Must have an Electronics Diploma or have previously worked as a Slot Technician</span></li>\n <li><span>If not already licensed as a Slot Technician, must obtain a passing grade on the Slot Technician final exam upon completion of both the Slot Service Representative &amp; Slot Technician training courses (provided onsite).</span></li>\n <li>Possesses strong troubleshooting, organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills</li>\n <li>Requires working knowledge of computer software packages and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment</li>\n <li>Must have excellent attendance and work record</li>\n <li><span>Must have excellent GEM skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment Considerations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours.</li>\n</ul>",
