    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary</span> </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Detailing Intern position at Jim Myers &amp; Sons, Inc. (JMS) is a vital member of the Operations Team and is a diverse high paced position. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We are seeking an intern to join our team for Summer/Fall 2026 (position starting as soon as mid-July). </span> A Detailing Intern is responsible for the development of drawings, plans, and other documents. This includes detailed purchasing, fabrication, assembly, and testing drawings. The Detailing Intern should be comfortable in a manufacturing environment and have experience with 3D and 2D CAD software, preferably including sheet metal components and multibody weldments. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities Include</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create detailed fabrication drawing packages that are functionally and visually effective</li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate file structure and state in SolidWorks PDM for work packages</li>\n<li>Adhere to agreed task schedules to support product delivery schedules</li>\n<li>Maintain proper communication with Detailers and Detailing Supervisor</li>\n<li>Follow all JMS, Inc. policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work effectively &amp; efficiently with project team members on multiple projects simultaneously</li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as logical thought process</li>\n<li>Must possess a minimum 0-1 year(s) (1,500+ hours schooling included) of experience in 3D modeling with SolidWorks (preferred)</li>\n<li>Entry level 3D Detailer and/or CAD Certification <br>preferred\n<ul>\n<li><br>Ex: Certified SolidWorks Associates</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Knowledge or experience with applying drafting standards to fabrication level drawings</li>\n<li>Interest or experience with mechanical equipment, weldments and assemblies</li>\n<li>Some relevant experience with mechanical equipment and high attention to detail</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, &amp; Outlook</li>\n<li>Desire to learn and to continue developing knowledge and skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired Experience and Skills</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, machining, etc.</li>\n<li>Experience applying GD&amp;T is strongly desired or certification in GD&amp;T is a plus</li>\n<li>Interest or experience with power transmission equipment including motors, gearboxes, shafts &amp; bearings</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span> </p>\n<p>Currently enrolled in a Certified Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting/Engineering program or other relevant post-secondary education program </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Jim Myers &amp; Sons is an Equal Opportunity Employer </p>",
