Determine causes of breakdown or failure in electrical or mechanical equipment.  Repairs, adjusts, modifies, and services all equipment. This role is located in <strong>Verona, VA</strong> and will be fully on-site. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Starting Pay:</strong> $28.61 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm) </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>1st Shift Maintenance Technician </strong><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build a proactive safety culture</li>\n <li>Identify and correct potential safety hazards in order to prevent injuries</li>\n <li>Make the equipment available to the production workforce by<li>Determining the cause of equipment breakdown or failure and make necessary repairs</li><li>Analyzing drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, etc. as required to install, repair, calibrate or otherwise service all types of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices and systems</li><li>Applying preventative methods and routine maintenance to reduce unplanned equipment downtime</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions</li><li>Provide input into the preventive maintenance programs</li></li>\n <li>Support management of spare parts inventories</li>\n <li>Keep the building and support equipment in working order by performing repairs and modifications</li>\n <li>Coordinate with outside maintenance and repair contractors when necessary to complete work </li>\n <li>Develop and support maintenance scheduling and planning including Preventative Maintenance efforts</li>\n <li>Actively participate in 5S activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>1st Shift Maintenance Technician Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A demonstrated safety orientation</li>\n <li>5 years manufacturing related maintenance experience</li>\n <li>Experience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic machine systems\n  <ul>\n   <li>Electrical knowledge up to 480 volts</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Self-starter with a proactive mindset able to prioritize work based on the schedules, goals and objectives of the organization.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing</li>\n <li>Experience using a maintenance management system such as FIIX</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Joining Wieland’s team gives you…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Benefits</strong> - <strong>Starting on Day 1! </strong>Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement Savings</strong> - 401(k) contribution + match.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance</strong> - Paid Vacation & Holidays.</li>\n <li><strong>Growth Opportunities</strong> - We have over 8,000+ employees worldwide and 35+ locations in North America alone.
