    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p>\n<p>The Nurse Navigator is a critical member of the Phase 1 clinical trial program team, serving as the primary liaison between patients, referring physicians, and START staff. This role ensures timely, coordinated, and personalized care while addressing barriers to trial participation, promoting program awareness, and enhancing patient outcomes.</p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibility</strong></p>\n<p>• Educate referring physicians and their staff about the START Phase 1 program and clinical trials.</p>\n<p>• Perform referral intake for new patients, ensuring coordinated, high-quality care and service.</p>\n<p>• Identify opportunities to leverage technology for improved patient matching and care coordination.</p>\n<p>• Support patients by scheduling Phase 1 appointments, addressing barriers to care, and linking them with community resources.</p>\n<p>• Present new and ongoing trials referring physicians and staff using virtual and in-person platforms.</p>\n<p>• Coordinate case conferences and attend tumor boards to support multidisciplinary cancer care.</p>\n<p>• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for Phase 1 patient tracking and study monitoring.</p>\n<p>• Attend administrative meetings, protocol reviews, and site visits as required.</p>\n<p>• Demonstrate effective communication and maintain confidentiality of patient information.</p>\n<p>• Practice integrity and accountability, incorporating feedback into clinical presentations.</p>\n<p>• Support growth goals of the clinical research program with respect to new patient referrals and accruals.</p>\n<p>• Other duties may be assigned at any time.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Job Qualification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.</li>\n <li>3-5 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience preferred</li>\n <li>Clinical trial experience preferred</li>\n <li>Oncology certified Nurse (ONC) certification preferred</li>\n <li>Open to travel to referral offices for presentations&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><br><strong>*Additional Salary Detail</strong>&nbsp;<br>\n The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).</p>",
