This is what sets us (and you, if you join us…) apart from the crowd.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 yr DOE </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Analyze</strong> composites - Physical and chemical</li>\n <li><strong>Operation </strong>of analytical equipment such as HPLC, FTIR</li>\n <li><strong>Managing </strong>the calibration of glass wares and the instruments and maintenance, cleaning and checking of equipment</li>\n <li><strong>Familiarity/Operation</strong> of instruments such as ICP/OES, Leco, pH, XRF, MFR, FTIR, DSC, TGA, TMA, DMA, GC/MS, hardness meters, analytical balances, etc.</li>\n <li><strong>Coordinating </strong>with the other technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule</li>\n <li><strong>Manage </strong>verification and calibration of instruments.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills / Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Is this job for me?</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge. You will need :</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalent, and/or at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in teams under pressure and flexible to work different working overtime hours, if required or necessary.</li>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills and listening ability to communicate effectively with peers, superiors, customers and vendors.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in an independent / chemistry / consultant laboratory.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NOTE:  This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
