Description

Overview The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that aerospace components and special processes meet all customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. This role ensures product conformity through in-process and final inspection, supporting compliance with industry standards and maintaining traceability throughout production. Salary: $24- $30/hr DOE Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components. Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators). Review and validate certifications, travelers, and process documentation. Identify and document nonconformances; initiate corrective actions as needed. Ensure full traceability of parts, materials, and processes. Support audits (internal, customer, and regulatory), including NADCAP audits. Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Skills / Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred). 2–5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or special processing quality inspection. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and aerospace specifications. Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100. Experience working in regulated environments with strict documentation control. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a NADCAP-accredited facility. Certification in inspection or quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector). Skills & Competencies: High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Effective communication and documentation skills. Proficiency with inspection tools and basic computer systems.
