    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>The bioanalytical contractor position is responsible for performing quantitative analysis of various biological samples in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department at the Vertex San Diego site.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate will have experience in a Chemistry wet lab environment with exposure to SPOC, Mass Spectrometry, Spectrometry, In Vitro Assays and Automation.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provide bioanalytical support for various DMPK studies.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform quantitative analysis of small molecules and metabolites in plasma, blood, urine, bile, feces and various tissues using liquid chromatograph-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) method.</li>\n <li>Perform in vitro incubation/analysis to assess the binding of small molecules to proteins.</li>\n <li>Perform routine LC/MS/MS instrument maintenance, develop and trouble-shoot LC/MS/MS method.</li>\n <li>Provide general supports for the lab and/or other scientists as needed (eg, prepare of mobile phases, organize freezer/fridge, laboratory cleaning, etc)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>B.S. in a Chemistry, Biochemistry</strong> or a related field with 0-2+ years relevant experiences in bioanalysis using LC/MS/MS.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to details, good record keeping, a team player</li>\n <li>Experiences with ADME assays are a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>\n<p><strong>$28-$35/hr</strong></p>\n<h2>Requisition Disclaimer</h2>\n<p>This job posting is for a temporary role with a third-party agency partner on assignment at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (“Vertex”).
