    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>RN House Supervisor II</p>\n<p>UnityPoint - St. Luke's - Downtown</p>\n<p>Hours: Nights 7pm-7am; 36 hours per pay period; alternating between one and two shifts over a two-week pay period</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Coordinates activities within the hospital including assisting with staffing, patient flow and coordination of hospital activities. Assists as directed in data collection and monitoring aspects of patient care. Acts as a resource person for nursing staff and also for other departments within the hospital as indicated. We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members. • Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team of experts and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitors care given by appropriate team members in accordance with patient needs and the team member’s professional capabilities and qualifications.</li>\n <li>Assists in creating a positive work environment by the mentoring of staff/students and working with team members to facilitate initiatives that strive for positive outcomes in quality and care of patients.</li>\n <li>Reliable attendance is an expectation.</li>\n <li>Coordinates patient flow and placement to coordinate with staff availability.</li>\n <li>Identifies problem situations, develops and implements effective decisions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Pharmacy-IV</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare/Mix IV solutions</li>\n <li>Follows physicians' orders for appropriate medications and concentration</li>\n <li>Demonstrates appropriate aseptic technique</li>\n <li>Understands and follows standard dilutions and preparation procedures</li>\n <li>Utilizes on call pharmacist as a resource for drug information/order clarification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Surgery Call in Duties</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for surgery scheduling after hours and on weekends and holidays</li>\n <li>Works directly with physicians to schedule surgeries</li>\n <li>Calls surgery staff that are needed after hours, weekends and holidays</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from an approved nursing program required.  </li>\n <li>BSN preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Three (3) years clinical experience required.  </li>\n <li>Two (2) years of critical care experience preferred.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current Iowa Registered Nursing License required. </li>\n <li>Basic Life Support Certification upon hire required. </li>\n <li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 45 days of hire required. </li>\n <li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification within 45 days of hire required. </li>\n <li>Completion of eight hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually required. </li>\n <li>Must be CPI/MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviors) certified within the first 6 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment (renewal every 2 years). </li>\n</ul>",
