Benefits may vary based on state law.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>The Wheelchair Specialist II fabricates, adjusts, repairs and transfers wheelchair and seating devices as outlined by the clinician, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, machines and materials. Transports equipment and maintains shop area and offsite storage/van. Shriners Children's Salt Lake City is looking for a Wheelchair Specialist II to join our amazing team!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Schedule:  Full time, 1.0 FTE</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Under supervision, develops the skills necessary to correctly repair or make adjustments to wheelchair and seating devices according to verbal and/or written instructions, sketches or diagrams.</li>\n <li>Assists clinician with patients as need arises. Is courteous & professional with patients, families and staff.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates correct/consistent use of safety devices appropriate to each job task, including a safety \"check-out\" by the Orthotic Lead Technician.</li>\n <li>Performs assigned clean-up tasks during assigned dept. clean-up. Assists others w/duties if time permits.</li>\n <li>Maintains accurate work order records as outlined by the clinician; completes forms according to written guidelines.</li>\n <li>Drives hospital pick up truck or vans when needed to transport, load/unload and relocate wheelchairs, equipment, components and supplies between Shriners Hospital therapy department and warehouse storage units, vendor shops, stores, and donation sites.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Note:  This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities.  The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BLS</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Highschool Diploma or GED</li>\n <li>Fabricating seating devices</li>\n <li>Purchasing/or supply chain experience in a healthcare setting</li>\n <li>Seating and mobility technology</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
