This role plays an&nbsp;imperative role&nbsp;as&nbsp;the go-between resource for the engineering team,&nbsp;leadership, and the&nbsp;location's&nbsp;personnel. We need a dynamic individual to help&nbsp;grow the&nbsp;impact of our engineering team!&nbsp;This&nbsp;position involves&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;computers&nbsp;and&nbsp;servers&nbsp;related&nbsp;to&nbsp;television&nbsp;transmission and&nbsp;video&nbsp;automation&nbsp;systems,&nbsp;as&nbsp;well&nbsp;as&nbsp;business-side&nbsp;workstations.&nbsp;The candidate&nbsp;will&nbsp;also&nbsp;be&nbsp;directly&nbsp;responsible&nbsp;for&nbsp;hands-on&nbsp;support&nbsp;of&nbsp;all&nbsp;broadcast equipment.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:27.05pt\"><strong><u>Responsibilities&nbsp;include,&nbsp;but&nbsp;are&nbsp;not&nbsp;limited&nbsp;to:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain and repair station all broadcast and supporting equipment as needed Provide support in the management of Servers, Network Security and Network Services</li>\n <li>Assist&nbsp;with&nbsp;transmitter&nbsp;maintenance</li>\n <li>Provide&nbsp;PC/Mac&nbsp;hardware/software&nbsp;support&nbsp;of&nbsp;on-site&nbsp;installing,&nbsp;servicing,&nbsp;updating,&nbsp;and repairing workstations</li>\n <li>Address maintenance&nbsp;and&nbsp;repair&nbsp;requests&nbsp;as&nbsp;required.</li>\n <li>Respond to issues regarding facilities maintenance to include but not limited to HVAC, plumbing,&nbsp;grounds, etc.</li>\n <li>The&nbsp;possibility&nbsp;of&nbsp;unexpected&nbsp;and/or&nbsp;late-night&nbsp;calls&nbsp;for&nbsp;engineering-emergencies at the station</li>\n <li>Act&nbsp;as the subject&nbsp;matter&nbsp;expert&nbsp;and point&nbsp;of&nbsp;contact&nbsp;for all&nbsp;things as it&nbsp;relates to equipment and&nbsp;technology at the&nbsp;location,&nbsp;as well as&nbsp;stay up-to-date on the new industry standards</li>\n <li>&nbsp;Provide additional support and resource subject matter expertise in the absence of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Chief Engineer to all&nbsp;staff&nbsp;(including&nbsp;leadership&nbsp;and&nbsp;location personnel,&nbsp;and the onsite Engineering team)</li>\n <li>\n  <p>Implement,&nbsp;install&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;engineering&nbsp;systems&nbsp;and&nbsp;provide&nbsp;end-user support across all departments</p>\n  <p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p></li>\n <li>Associates&nbsp;degree&nbsp;or&nbsp;higher&nbsp;in&nbsp;IT,&nbsp;electronics&nbsp;or&nbsp;computer&nbsp;related&nbsp;field</li>\n <li>2&nbsp;-&nbsp;4&nbsp;years&nbsp;of&nbsp;related&nbsp;broadcast&nbsp;experience</li>\n <li>A&nbsp;great&nbsp;team-oriented&nbsp;attitude&nbsp;and&nbsp;dedication to quality</li>\n <li>Strong&nbsp;familiarity&nbsp;with&nbsp;Microsoft,&nbsp;Mac&nbsp;and&nbsp;Linux&nbsp;operating&nbsp;systems</li>\n <li>Knowledge and&nbsp;competency in core&nbsp;hardware and&nbsp;computer system technologies, including installation,&nbsp;configuration, diagnosing,&nbsp;preventive maintenance and&nbsp;<strong>LAN/WAN&nbsp;</strong>networking</li>\n <li>Proficiency in&nbsp;troubleshooting&nbsp;problems&nbsp;and&nbsp;responding&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;under pressure</li>\n <li>Excellent&nbsp;communication&nbsp;skills</li>\n <li>Previous&nbsp;experience as&nbsp;a Master Control Operator is&nbsp;preferred but not required.</li>\n <li>\n  <p>Valid &amp;&nbsp;unencumbered&nbsp;driver's&nbsp;license</p>\n  <p><strong><u>Physical&nbsp;Demands/Work&nbsp;Environment:</u></strong></p></li>\n <li>Must&nbsp;be&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;work&nbsp;a&nbsp;flexible schedule</li>\n <li>On-call&nbsp;duty,&nbsp;including&nbsp;weekends&nbsp;and&nbsp;holidays</li>\n <li>Ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;lift&nbsp;computers&nbsp;and&nbsp;equipment&nbsp;generally&nbsp;less&nbsp;than&nbsp;50&nbsp;pounds</li>\n <li>To&nbsp;work&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;TV&nbsp;station&nbsp;regularly</li>\n <li>Daily opportunities&nbsp;to&nbsp;learn&nbsp;the&nbsp;art&nbsp;of&nbsp;how-to&nbsp;(re)prioritize</li>\n <li>The station's obstacles and challenges are your challenges</li>\n <li>Provider Transmitter support</li>\n <li>Replace and adjust defective and/or improperly functioning equipment</li>\n <li>Networking/Wiring</li>\n</ul>\n<div>\n <br>\n  &nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
