No worries - use our tuition reimbursement program to help cover the costs that come with certification.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Purpose:</strong>   </p><p>The Medical Assistant roles assist with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol.  Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients. </p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>\n    <ul>\n     <li>Room patients, measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.</li>\n     <li>Complete patient interview and history.</li>\n     <li>Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assists with procedures as ordered by physician.</li>\n     <li>May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.</li>\n     <li>Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.</li>\n     <li>Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.</li>\n     <li>Manage and organize the medical office's inbox, ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients, healthcare providers and other stakeholders.</li>\n     <li>Oversee the reception of incoming patient information and gather necessary data for healthcare providers.</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>",
