The Medical Assistant Team plays a pivotal role in the patient care plan. Through patience, integrity, communication, and understanding a Medical Administrator will guide our patients to feeling better and improving their lives. A Medical Administrator at Defy is outgoing and enjoys helping people. They can adapt and learn new computer programs quickly. Multitasking, communication, and critical thinking are pillars for a Medical Administrator. Patient care is the key element to being successful in this role.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processing orders<br></li>\n<li><span>Phone triage patients throughout the country via telemedicine</span></li>\n<li>Walking patients through administering injections to themselves </li>\n<li>Take incoming calls in med staff queue</li>\n<li>Complete letter of medical necessities, travel letters</li>\n<li>Communicating via email/phone with providers, patients, and staff</li>\n<li>Assist patients with ordering products</li>\n<li>Sending C/O through Med portal</li>\n<li>Explaining treatment procedures to patients and providing follow up education</li>\n<li>Handle high volume outbound and inbound calls</li>\n<li>Multitasking skills through EMR, Med queue, and other systems</li>\n<li>Phone and email etiquette<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient in medical terminology</li>\n<li>1 + years' experience in healthcare setting required</li>\n<li>Associate degree preferred but not required</li>\n<li>Pharmaceutical experience encouraged</li>\n<li>1+ years of experience in a Healthcare setting</li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills via email and verbal</li>\n<li>Proficient in computer skills (Outlook/Microsoft) and EMR systems</li>\n<li>Multitasking and system navigation skills</li>\n<li>Coachable and a team player</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Shifts Available</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Monday-Friday 12:15pm-9pm (4 shifts available)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Monday-Friday 10:30am-7:15pm</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation: $18.50/hr (not negotiable)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Benefits</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>PTO</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Paid Holidays</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Medical</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Dental</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Health insurance</span></li>\n<li><span>Employee Discount on services     </span><br></li>\n<li><span>*Benefits are subject to change at any time</span></li>\n</ul>",
