About Blank Street: At Blank Street, we're on a mission to become the defining food and beverage brand of our generation, built on a matcha forward menu done obsessively right, a design aesthetic people stop to photograph, and a high-volume format that never cuts corners on quality or hospitality. What began as a handful of carts in NYC is now 100+ locations with a cult following across New York, DC, Boston, and London, and we're just getting started. Who We're Looking For Friendly and enthusiastic player who is passionate about hospitality — you’re always ready to make a customer’s day Adaptable and open minded — we’re evolving as we grow so you’ll have to be flexible as things change Detail obsessed — you take pride in the small details to make things right Intentional and purposeful — you act with ownership to keep shifts running smoothly, efficiently, and with rhythm Passionate about coffee and/or matcha — you lead by example and share that enthusiasm with customers Inclusive — you are comfortable working on a diverse team and know how to bring different personalities together What You'll Own Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging hospitality, taking the opportunity to turn every customer into a regular Be an integral part of our world class team using the best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the industry Maintain a clean and organized environment upholding both Local Department of Health and Blank Street standards at all times Partner with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to expand our brand to new customers Continue to train and evolve with the company, driving ever higher standards and improving process along the way Set your team up for success by mastering different company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing processes Requirements 1+ years’ experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality, retail, or coffee 18+ years of age Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time Availability that meets the needs of our cafes Part Time: 15-25 hours per week, 3 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Weekend and holiday availability preferred You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees’ Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as ”E-Verify”) Blank Street will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
