    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Steampunk </strong>wants you to join our awesome team as <strong>Data Visualization Engineer.</strong>  In this role you'll be working with a large team of Steampunk and clients to identify data sources, tools, and mission challenges that can all be brought together to create decision-supporting insights and information.  Your main goal in this work is to use the data that we have as a team and client base to provide meaningful information and representations of data to enable our client to make better and quicker decisions. We are looking for more than just a \"Data Visualization Engineer\", but a technologist with excellent communication and customer service skills and a passion for data and problem solving. </p>\n<h2>Contributions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Will be a Subject Matter Expert for a large contract supporting a major federal agency and will be responsible for creating visually appealing and operationally impactful dashboards and reports. This impactful work will translate our client's data into actionable insights </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Use expert knowledge of data visualization tools to deliver information that allows client users to quickly understand data, ask better questions, and take action </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Design, develop, and deliver analytics solutions with consideration for functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Collaborate with clients and stakeholders </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Help define enterprise data and technology needs to support business intelligence and analytics </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Facilitate meetings with diverse and sometimes conflicting points of view </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Support an Agile software development lifecycle </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>You will contribute to the growth of our Data Exploitation Practice! </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Master's degree and 8 years of experience</p></li>\n   <li><p>No Degree and 14 years of experience </p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>10 years of experience in designing, developing, and configuring data visualizations for different types of users </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>8+ years of experience using Tableau, Power BI, or other tools to create and develop robust reporting applications </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>8+ years of experience with data management disciplines including data governance, data architecture, data modeling, data storage, data security, data integration, and data quality </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ability to lead or participate in business sessions to identify and document analytic use cases </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ability to be a self-starter, take ownership of opportunities, work independently, and manage simultaneous projects </p></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain advanced concepts to audiences of varying levels using simple terms </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About <strong>steampunk</strong></h2>\n<p>Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position. Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk’s total compensation package for employees.
