    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Air Methods is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot / Check Airman to support training, evaluation, and standardization of our helicopter and fixed-wing pilots. This role is based in Denver at the FlightSafety/Watkins Training Center and plays a direct role in ensuring pilot proficiency, operational compliance, and safety across the enterprise.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You will operate at the center of our training pipeline, delivering high-impact instruction in simulators, aircraft, and classroom environments while maintaining strict adherence to FAA regulations and company standards.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct initial, recurrent, transition, and upgrade training in classroom, simulator, and aircraft environments</li>\n <li>Perform pilot evaluations, check rides, and operational competency assessments</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and General Operations Manual standards</li>\n <li>Identify, correct, and escalate safety or compliance issues in real time</li>\n <li>Support development and execution of standardized training programs and curricula</li>\n <li>Deliver specialized instruction including instrument, NVG, and differences training</li>\n <li>Operate advanced aviation training devices and full-motion simulators</li>\n <li>Partner with Chief Pilots, Assistant Chief Pilots, and Regional Leadership to maintain training quality and consistency</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate pilot training records and submit required documentation in a timely manner</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong background in Part 135 operations with a focus on safety and standardization</li>\n <li>Prior Instructor Pilot or Check Airman experience</li>\n <li>Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating (ATP preferred)</li>\n <li>CFI / CFII (Rotorcraft) or ability to obtain within 12 months</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to teach, evaluate, and mentor pilots at varying experience levels</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of FAA regulations, training requirements, and operational compliance</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
