You will work at University Hospital and East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.</p><p><strong>Be part of something remarkable</strong></p><p>As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.</p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant</strong> to:</p><ul><li>Independently care for the hospitalized patients at University Hospital and/or East Madison Hospital.</li><li>Work with patients with acute and chronic disease.</li><li>Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, prevention, care coordination including multidisciplinary care rounds, and management of acute and chronic conditions.</li><li>Perform consultative services.</li></ul><p><strong><u>At UW Health, you will have:</u></strong></p><ul><li>An excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, two-week paid parental leave and adoption assistance.&nbsp;</li><li>Options for a variety of schedules and shifts that offer flexibility and allow for work-life balance.</li><li>Access to great resources through the UW Health Employee Wellbeing Department that supports your emotional, financial, and physical well-being.</li><li>Tuition benefits eligibility - UW Health invests in your professional growth by helping pay for coursework associated with career advancement.</li><li>The opportunity to earn a referral bonus for referring friends, former colleagues or others to apply for open, posted positions</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education:</u></strong><br>Minimum –</p><ul><li><strong>If Nurse Practitioner:</strong> Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.</li><li><strong>If Physician Assistant: </strong>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Licenses and Certifications:</u></strong><br>Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure</p><p><strong>If Nurse Practitioner*:</strong></p><ul><li>Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND</li><li>Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gerontology Acute Care or Adult/Gerontology Primary Care with clinical experience in the hospital or previous ICU experience as Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.</li></ul><p><strong>If Physician Assistant*:</strong></p><ul><li>Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND</li><li>Active PA board certification</li></ul><p><strong>All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.</li><li>Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice.
