Join the growing Southwest Healthcare Medical Education Consortium team in sunny southern California and create your legacy by training the next generation of physicians!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Discover here what makes Palmdale and the Antelope Valley a wonderful place to call home!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Opportunity highlights:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Position includes Program Director, Teaching, and Clinical responsibilities</li>\n <li>PD position is a.7 FTE with the remainder in clinical practice</li>\n <li>Clinical practice options include FM clinic and/or hospitalist</li>\n <li>Program started in 2023 and will be 8/8/8 at full complement </li>\n <li>Responsible for continued program development and maintenance of accreditation in adherence with ACGME requirements</li>\n <li>Oversee the quality of education, curricula, and experiential rotations</li>\n <li>Lead the interview, selection, and evaluation processes of residents</li>\n <li>Provide leadership, mentoring, teaching, and administrative oversight to residents</li>\n <li>Partner closely with hospital and medical staff to ensure effective integration within the organization</li>\n <li>Attractive compensation package with base salary</li>\n <li>Benefits package</li>\n <li>Compensation $325,000–370,000 with incentives and depending on clinical practice)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Position requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current board certification by the ABFM or AOBFP</li>\n <li><strong>3+ years of recent PD, APD or core faculty experience</strong></li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability as a leader, educator, and clinician</li>\n <li>History of scholarly activities/research</li>\n <li>Membership or committee work in FM professional associations</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Southwest Healthcare MEC: </strong>Universal Health Services (UHS) residency programs are integrated into the core mission of our hospitals: to provide our community superior quality care that patients recommend to family and friends and physicians prefer for their patients, while offering unique training opportunities to the next generation of healthcare providers. Our approach to the successful training of physicians is to provide a solid, sound foundation for learning and training and new opportunities, so residents can explore the many career options available as a physician.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Palmdale Regional Medical Center, </strong>a part of <strong>Southwest Healthcare,</strong> is licensed for 190 beds with planned build-out to 234. The hospital is designated as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and offers a 35-bed Emergency Department. PRMC features inpatient and outpatient surgical services in bariatric, colorectal, orthopedic, neurological, spine, ENT, vascular, plastic, and robotics, featuring a da Vinci Xi. The hospital also offers medical and surgical oncology services in <strong>affiliation with City of Hope</strong>. PRMC is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), one of the largest hospital and healthcare management companies.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Palmdale</strong> and the Antelope Valley offer affordable, suburban living with excellent schools and a wide variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
