    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>1st Shift:&nbsp;</strong>6AM- 2:30PM</p><p><strong>2nd Shift:</strong> 2:30PM- 11PM</p><p>The Quality Inspector&rsquo;s role is to utilize curtainwall knowledge alongside 2D and 3D engineering / CAD drawings to identify potential quality and installation issues in curtainwall components or units. A Quality Inspector may be assigned work in different areas, depending on production requirements. All Quality Inspectors are required to abide by all applicable New Hudson Fa&ccedil;ade requirements, as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Quality Inspectors directly report to the Quality Supervisor.</p><p><strong>Role and Responsibilities:&nbsp;<br></strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Inspect and approve curtainwall components or units at various points of the manufacturing process for compliance with curtainwall quality/cleanliness expectations.</li><li>Inspect and test incoming materials (aluminum, glass, stone, machined parts, etc.) against drawings, procedures and other defined quality standards; enters inspection results in Epicor; maintains various inspection logs and spreadsheets; inspects completed curtain wall units and crating.</li><li>Enters NCRs for discrepant materials as found after inspection; assists the QC Coordinator in tagging and managing rejected parts.</li><li>Read and manipulate 2D / 3D engineering CAD drawings to determine if curtainwall units and its individual components are fabricated and installed correctly.</li><li>Communicate with upstream quality / assembly personnel when quality issues are identified. Provide information that can support the quality of the completed curtainwall unit.</li><li>Maintain inspection logs and spreadsheets, as needed.</li><li>Utilize ADP / Epicor to track hours spent supporting projects.</li><li>Comply with all safety standards and requirements defined by NHF.</li><li>Care of all assigned tools (calipers, spectrophotometers, protractors, etc.).</li><li>Other tasks as required by management.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Abilities:<br></strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Experience working in a heavy manufacturing or large-assembly environment.</li><li>Ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings.</li><li>Familiarity with manipulating 3D engineering drawings on CAD software.</li><li>Advanced knowledge and experience with measurement tools (Tape measure, caliper, protractor, etc).</li><li>Ability to act with professionalism; ability to multitask.</li><li>Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction.</li><li>Communication skills (both written and verbal).</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Applicants must be able to perform repetitive lifting and other physically demanding tasks.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Education Requirements:&nbsp;<br></strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>HS Diploma&nbsp;</li><li>AS Degree or higher preferred.</li><li>Experience in the curtainwall / construction industry preferred.</li></ul><p><strong id=\"isPasted\"><em>New Hudson Facades is an Equal Opportunity employer.&nbsp;</em></strong><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex including sexual orientation and gender identity, national origin, disability, protected Veteran Status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.</em></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
