Globally, we manage over 320 million square feet of client portfolios across 30,000+ locations in North America, Europe, Middle East, Australia and Asia.<br/>&nbsp;<br/>Further information is available at www.bgis.com</p>\n<p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:4.5pt;\">The <strong>Crew Lead</strong> is responsible for overseeing a team of Technicians in the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for multiple facilities.&nbsp; The Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing the execution of activities performed by Technicians to ensure that work is performed in accordance to established processes and practices and is in compliant with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection.&nbsp; In addition to people leadership responsibilities, the Crew Lead also performs and delivers preventative and corrective maintenance as well as routine and on-demand services.</p>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<p><strong>People Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leads a team of individual contributors&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assigns, prioritizes and monitors work progress to ensure completion and adherence to timeliness, quality standards and all other related requirements</li>\n <li>Reviews work for completeness and accuracy. Ensures quality adherence is maintained</li>\n <li>Guides, coaches and trains direct reports</li>\n <li>Provides input for performance review</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Leads the delivery of as well as performs the following subject to legislative licensing requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversees and monitors the activities and performance of Technicians within assigned facility.&nbsp; Ensures that activities are performed in accordance to established processes as well as internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection</li>\n <li>Oversees the proper application and execution of processes and practices to ensure achievement of and adherence to all requirements</li>\n <li>Oversees and performs regular facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems monitoring and inspection, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure facility uptime objectives are met, uninterrupted client operation and asset integrity of assigned facility are maintained.&nbsp; Provides observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides recommendations for enhancement and repair&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Oversees and monitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, mechanical and electrical equipment and system monitoring and inspection</li>\n <li>Oversees and maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment</li>\n <li>Oversees and responds to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on&nbsp;facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems</li>\n <li>Oversees the maintenance of as well as maintains work order records within service management maintenance database.&nbsp;Initiates documents to&nbsp; obtain formal approval of work required</li>\n <li>Coordinates and assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance program.&nbsp; Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documentations are maintained</li>\n <li>Coordinates and participates in facility-related projects</li>\n <li>Oversees and maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required.&nbsp; Submits all expenditures on a timely basis&nbsp; &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provides, participates and supports training, safety meetings, operational meetings, tool box talks, etc.</li>\n <li>Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they arise</li>\n <li>Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><strong>Work Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to work shifts, be on-call and be available to respond to emergencies</li>\n <li>Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment</li>\n <li>Must be able and willing to drive to and perform work at multiple sites</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>More than 5 years&nbsp; of facility operations and maintenance work experience</li>\n <li>Previous people leadership experience, preferred</li>\n <li>High school diploma plus trades training and certification</li>\n <li>Ability to lead a team of individuals</li>\n <li>Highly-advanced ability to adhere to processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Highly advanced ability to maintain and repair building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems</li>\n <li>Highly advanced building mechanical and electrical equipment and system&nbsp; troubleshooting and resolution skills&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Current knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes and standards and ability to research and apply related codes and standards</li>\n <li>Possesses a high level of environmental, health and safety mindset. Ability to perform work in a safe manner</li>\n <li>Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency</li>\n <li>Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation</strong></p>\n<p>One or more of the following:​</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Journeyman level Refrigeration license.&nbsp; Gasfitter I &amp; II license in addition to a journeyman level refrigeration license, an asset</li>\n <li>Journeyman level Electrical license</li>\n <li>Journeyman level Plumbing license</li>\n <li>Must meet enhanced security clearance requirements</li>\n <li>Valid drivers’ license</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $54,185 - $67,732 per annum.
