    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Summary:</p>\n<p><strong>Seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Firmware Engineer located ON-SITE in Blue Bell, PA. &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>This position is responsible for <strong>firmware/software development </strong>for the security system in concert with the Principal Engineers, the Senior Embedded Linux Firmware Engineer also helps design stable, scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant systems and reusable frameworks and libraries. The candidate should possess sound technical judgement and be proficient at selecting the appropriate algorithms to meet the functional and non-functional requirements. The candidate should also be skilled in designing superior solutions and embedding simplicity into designs.</p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Designs integrated system components and develops high-quality engineering deliverables to achieve performance, scalability, and availability metrics. &nbsp;Defines and implements operational tools and practices needed to sustain metrics at desired levels.</li>\n <li>Actively participates in requirement definition, technical architecture review, iterative development, code review, and operations.</li>\n <li>Provides technical design artifacts for Engineers and provides peer-review feedback to confirm the quality and completeness of the deliverables. Creates automated feedback loops and uses data to make decisions.</li>\n <li>Investigates, designs, prototypes, and evaluates the technical feasibility of new technologies.</li>\n <li>Develops core practices, frameworks, and/or libraries for consistency and reuse.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp; <strong>Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>Strong proficiency working in Linux environments, including experience with networking and software security analysis.</li>\n <li>Expert-level, extensive C and C++ experience is required. Candidates without this level of C and C++ expertise will not be considered.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Buildroot or Yocto toolchains and firmware Over-The-Air (OTA) upgrade processes.</li>\n <li>Experience with communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, etc., and IoT device development, preferably with Z-Wave, Matter, or Thread devices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp; Preferred Education and Experience Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education or experience in engineering, computer science, or another technical field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp; Additional Skills and Certifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A solid understanding of Linux kernel space is highly desirable.</li>\n <li>Expert in three or more engineering disciplines/coding languages.</li>\n <li>Deep knowledge and experience designing systems to achieve non-functional requirements.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to thrive&nbsp;in&nbsp;a fast-paced environment where learning new concepts quickly&nbsp;is&nbsp;a must.</li>\n <li>Strong teamwork aptitude and ability to partner with the product owner/business sponsor to ensure the delivered system meets expectations.</li>\n <li>Able to lead a cross-functional team of Engineers and effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">The salary range for&nbsp;this role is $121,600 -$182,400 and is based&nbsp;on experience and&nbsp;qualifications.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Certain&nbsp;roles are eligible for&nbsp;annual bonus and may include equity.&nbsp;These&nbsp;awards are allocated&nbsp;based on company&nbsp;and individual&nbsp;performance.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance,&nbsp;wellbeing benefits and paid time, among others.
