    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><strong>Summary&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We are seeking a knowledgeable Parts Counter associate to assist customers in solving parts problems in person or by telephone, identify proper parts numbers, check availability, recommend and sell parts as a service and as requested by customer. This position will complete parts order forms, enter related information into the Data Processing system with the understanding that service and satisfaction are top priority.&nbsp;<span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\" id=\"isPasted\">This position requires in office presence and the essential functions cannot be performed remotely.</span></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Greet customers and determine needs.</li><li>Prioritize work day to meet customer needs.&nbsp;</li><li>Edit customers&rsquo; orders.</li><li>Expedite backorders with branches and manufacturers.</li><li>Always advise customers of order status.</li><li>Assist warehouse and shop parts as required.</li><li>Possess excellent organizational skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain parts counter library.</li><li>Participate in factory training.</li><li>Assist clerk with reconciling purchase order number to invoices.</li><li>Display working knowledge of authorized password options.</li><li>Contribute at monthly parts meetings.</li><li>Ability to establish credibility quickly. &nbsp;Must be decisive and able to recognize and support the organization&#39;s goals and priorities.</li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong></p><ul><li>H.S. Diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Previous experience working with vehicles or heavy equipment desired.</li><li>Familiar with parts terminology.</li><li>Previous automotive/heavy equipment background a plus.</li><li>Automotive, parts and/or equipment knowledge a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems desired.&nbsp;</li><li>Successfully completed warehouse and shop parts training or possesses the equivalent experience.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Communication Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong verbal communication skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Customer Service oriented.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p><p>Basic computer and data entry skills required.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this position the employee may be required to lift/carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds frequently and 21-50 pounds occasionally. This position requires the ability&nbsp;to demonstrate full range of motion for bending, pulling, reaching, stooping, and climbing frequently.&nbsp;In addition, this position requires the use and operation of a forklift as needed to pick and pack parts.
