    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>NaphCare is hiring <strong>LPNs </strong>and<strong> LVNs</strong> to join our team of medical professionals in <strong>Wyoming Department of Corrections - Wyoming State Penitentiary,</strong> where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the <strong>Rawlins, WY.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Full Time, Part Time, and PRN positions are available! </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>We are offering new pay rates for LPNs and a $7,500 sign on bonus for Full-Time employees!</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>All hires (FT, PT, and PRN) will also receive:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li><strong>An additional $2.00 per hour pay incentive in addition to their base pay rate.</strong></li>\n  <li><strong>Mileage reimbursement will also be paid for those who qualify and meet the mileage requirement.</strong></li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a <strong>Correctional Nurse</strong>, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. </p>\n<p><strong><em> </em></strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>New grads are encouraged to apply - we'll train you in the exciting field of correctional healthcare!</em></strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As an <strong>LPN</strong>, you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication history</li>\n <li>Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight</li>\n <li>Providing wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas</li>\n <li>Administering medication, including injections of medications and monitoring reaction to meds</li>\n <li>Maintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record, TechCare</li>\n <li>Observing patient health and mental health status </li>\n <li>Providing emergency first aid</li>\n <li>Providing patient education and discharge/release planning</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education / Licenses / Certifications / Requirements</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED)</li>\n <li>Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse</li>\n <li>Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA required)</li>\n <li>Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements</li>\n <li><strong>Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Capabilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why Join NaphCare?</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
