Works on medium and large projects. Leads work teams, oversees the work of others, and mentors less senior team members.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Creates product designs that are manufacturable, scalable, consistent, competive, and desireable to Wynright's customers</li>\n <li>Performs diverse, specialized and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making</li>\n <li>Ensures that new products are safe, reliable and easy to maintain</li>\n <li>Follows engineering standards and uses modeling and simulation tools to prove or disprove designs</li>\n <li>Partners with the design team, internal customers, manufacturing, quality control, purchasing, and outside vendors to develop new solutions</li>\n <li>Maintains a progress schedule that meets project milestones</li>\n <li>Performs on-site testing and verification</li>\n <li>Travels up to 20%</li>\n <li>Conceives, develops, engineers, prototypes, tests, and revises products designs</li>\n <li>Analyzes data to identify trends in usage, cost, performance, and reliability</li>\n <li>Developes and executes test plans for concepts and prototypes</li>\n <li>Selects appropriate and cost-effective purchased parts</li>\n <li>Performs engineering calculations to ensure robust designs, including horsepower, stress, torque, deflection, torsion, overhung load, sortation rate, cycle rate, air consumption, and amperage draw</li>\n <li>Works with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve development and design issues</li>\n <li>Participates in new product scope specification</li>\n <li>Reviews product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements and specifications</li>\n <li>Leads work teams, oversees the work of other team members, and mentors less-senior team members</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, Industrial, or Product Development, or equivalent experience</li>\n <li>Minimum of 6 years of Material Handling-related experience</li>\n <li>Experience designing conveyor, sortation, or automation equipment is required</li>\n <li>Experience designing parts or equipment for volume manufacturing is required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experienced with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD and 2D AutoCAD</li>\n <li>Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Teams, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefit Information</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Many great benefits to include Health/Vision/Dental/401k with match/Pet Insurance</li>\n <li>FSA/HSA</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p>EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/VeteransFederal Contractor</p>\n<p>If you need assistance applying to an open position online, please email [email protected]</p>",
