    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>If you reside in California, please see our California Applicant Privacy Policy for more information about our data handling practices and your data rights.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>MV Transportation is seeking a<strong> Transit Instructor </strong>to facilitate the independence of individuals, who may be Developmentally Disabled, Physically Disabled, Low Visually Impaired, Deaf or Hard of Hearing, and/or a Senior Citizen, by teaching them the skills required to utilize public transportation; while working closely with the Program Manager, Outreach Coordinator, and all outside sources answering questions regarding the program and supporting requests for monthly and quarterly reporting.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:                       </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct assessment with clients and family in their home to determine participants’ functional skills, abilities, and necessary training requirements.</li>\n <li>Maintain daily contact with family and/or other agency staff as required for individual training.</li>\n <li>Teach while traveling on public transportation, and within the community.</li>\n <li>Patience, compassion, and empathy for people with physical and/ or developmental disabilities, as well as senior citizens.</li>\n <li>Be a strong self-manager, team orientated with excellent communication skills.</li>\n <li>Be able to solve problems independently in changing environments.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the local transit system.</li>\n <li>Make safety a top priority.</li>\n <li>Strong customer service skills, with a strong understanding of working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, and senior community.</li>\n <li>Have a dedicated home office space for working remotely.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of different disabilities, and the ability to research disabilities, if needed, for a better understanding of the student</li>\n <li>Conduct assessment with clients and family in their home to determine participants’ functional skills, abilities, and necessary training requirements.</li>\n <li>Develop individual training plans for participants.</li>\n <li>Provide one-on-one field training to people with physical and/or developmental disabilities, as well as senior citizens community.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate confidential documentation.</li>\n <li>Ability to teach independence skills to individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities</li>\n <li>Teach while traveling on public transportation, and within the community.</li>\n <li>Prepare a final report on training activity at the conclusion.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Talent Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education is equivalent to an AA degree from an accredited institution, specializing in social services, special education, preferred or two (2) years of experience providing instruction or working one-on-one with a special demographics who display a developmental and/or physical disability, as well as support our senior population. </li>\n <li>Must have a valid Driver’s license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and own transportation.</li>\n <li>Must have a strong user knowledge of Word and Excel. </li>\n <li>Customer service skill in the field.</li>\n <li>Have a dedicated home office space for working remotely.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, and detail oriented, while demonstrating a concern for the safety of the vulnerable population.</li>\n <li>Ability to self-manage in remote settings.</li>\n <li>Inspire confidence in the participants ability to independently use public transportation safely through modeling professionalism, and training. </li>\n <li>Showing a passion for our vulnerable populations by displaying integrity, responsibility, dependability, punctuality, flexibility, initiative, ability to communicate in simply clearly sentences is a must.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Starting Pay Rate: $29 - $29.87/hour</p>\n<p>Healthcare Benefits: PPO Medical, Medical HSA, Prescription, Dental, Vision (spouse and dependent children), Telemedicine, FSA, Life, AD&D, Group Accident, LTD, STD, EAP, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Substance Abuse Professionals programming</p>\n<p>Retirement Benefits: 401k and Union pension: the Company contributes to the WCT Pension for each hour for which compensation is paid to maximum of 2080 hours per calendar year</p>\n<p>Paid Time Off: 0 months - year 2 = 1.538 bi-weekly accrual w/ 40 yearly accrual cap</p>\n<p>Paid Holidays: 8 paid holidays</p>\n<p>More Generous Paid Sick Leave: 1 hour/per 30 hours for all FT employees</p>\n<p>Other Compensation: $1,000.00 Driver referral bonus ($500.00 upon training completion and $500.00 upon completion of probationary period);
