Through a robust stakeholder feedback loop and supported by consistent processes and leadership, we take pride in delivering responsive, fair and professional service with empathy and efficiency.</p><br /><p><b>How you will create an impact</b></p><p>The Specialist will handle and analyze general liability claims under general supervision and moderate exposure claims involving litigation. The position also ensures ongoing adjudication of claims within the Company standards, industry best practices and specific client service requirements.</p><ul><li>Analyze and process general liability property damage claims by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim; ensure proactive claims handling aimed at the prompt and cost-effective resolution of claims through well-developed action plans.</li><li>Determine need for and direct independent adjusters to gather information to determine exposure on the claim and control their costs.</li><li>Identify and evaluate coverage issues; prepare comprehensive coverage letters with supervisory review and analysis; retain and provide direction to coverage counsel when necessary.</li><li>Assess liability and resolve claim within established evaluation. Maintain diaries and complete tasks within required timeframes as set forth by department guidelines; ensure claim files are timely and properly documented with clear and concise analysis on coverage, damages, reserves, and liability including an action plan for resolution.</li></ul><br /><p><b>What you&#39;ll need to succeed:</b></p><ul><li>Motivated individuals who are interested in the potential for an upwardly mobile career path.</li><li>3&#43; years of General and Auto Liability claim experience.</li><li>Experience resolving moderate severity injury claims and ability to evaluate complex coverage scenarios.</li><li>Ability to collaborate and successfully manage work when working at home or in the office in a flexible work environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to initiate and champion change initiatives that leverage technology and improve skills in benchmarking.</li><li>Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems, as well as ability to achieve business goals and objectives is essential.</li><li>Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks while managing competing priorities.</li><li>Effective decision- making skills including the ability to recognize, analyze, and improve claims performance against standards and goals.</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience</li><li>Ability to obtain multi-state adjuster licenses within 6 months of hire.</li></ul><br /><p>Ready to take your career to the next level? For positions based in Boston, the base salary range is $88,000-$100,000. For positions based in New Jersey, the base salary range is $86,000-$100,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
