We are seeking a Recovery Home Support Worker to join our team, working collaboratively to enhance client safety, assisting with activities of daily living, and encouraging full participation in community activities and programs.</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Under the direction of the Recovery Home Supervisor the Recovery Home Support Worker provides culturally informed crisis intervention, coping strategies, education, connections to community services, and support to individuals affected by mental illness, addictions, trauma, and crisis. The Recovery Home Support Worker will also engage in community relations activities to supporting clients and the community.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">This is position is Monday to Friday 12:00 am to 8:00 am in the Men's Recovery Home.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(186, 55, 42); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist with providing crisis support as needed and report immediately to supervisor.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must maintain professional conduct, boundaries, and ethical standards with a commitment to the principles and values of the First Nations Communities.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Regularly update client records and charting in Mustimuhw database.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Participate in regular team meetings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Encouraging, teaching, and assisting with household, community, and personal responsibilities such as shopping, cleaning, banking, medical appointments. and ensuring they are completed by the individual.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Supporting people in social situations to learn to feel comfortable and confident with others through appropriate interactions and build positive relationships.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide coaching and life skills teaching to clients within a residential setting where appropriate.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Safekeeping medication as per Section 65 of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act ASSISTED LIVING REGULATION<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist with household supervision coverage and safety for clients.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist with client intake process as needed.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Plan and participate with clients in social, recreational, and vocational activities.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Capacity to communicate and uphold clients’ rules, duties, and regulation in a polite but assertive manner.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Responsible for overseeing all household duties: meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, sanitizing bedrooms and washrooms, garbage disposal, etc.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Purchase and maintain inventory of groceries and household supplies.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide coaching and life skills teaching to clients within a residential setting where appropriate.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Transport Clients to appointments as needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties</span></span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Additional responsibilities as needed to support the community and uphold our shared values. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Working / Special Conditions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Initial and ongoing employment is subject to submission of a clear Criminal Record Review Program Check to ensure the safety and trust of the communities we serve. This check will be conducted every five years.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Initial and ongoing commitment to the values and guidelines of Sq'éwqel (Seabird Island Band), including our policies, procedures, standards of practice, and laws, is essential. This commitment supports our collective work, the community, and the responsibilities of this role.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license and have access to safe and reliable transportation, insured for community-based use, to effectively transport clients, students, or children.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Flexibility in working hours may be required, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs and schedules of clients and community needs. Employees will be given as much notice as possible to any changes in schedule.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(186, 55, 42); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You Bring</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Formal education or training in social services, health care aid, mental health, addictions, or a related field.
