This position is a 12-month staff position.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Essential Functions of the position: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Educating audiology and speech-language pathology undergraduate and graduate student clinicians</li>\n<li>Provide education based on current best practices for speech-language pathology services</li>\n<li>Provide guidance for developing assessment and treatment plans, counseling, SOAP notes, treatment materials, etc.</li>\n<li>Developing and executing a line of evidence-based research that results in dissemination of knowledge</li>\n<li>Completing service to the program, college, university and our profession</li>\n<li>Recording and analyzing assessment data regarding student achievement</li>\n<li>Document and track student clinical competencies</li>\n<li>Maintain student clinician files in compliance with FERPA</li>\n<li>Maintain clinic patient files in compliance with HIPAA</li>\n<li>Participation in department and clinic meetings as required</li>\n<li>Performing other duties as assigned by the Chair and/or Director of Clinical Education of CSD</li>\n<li>Modeling WLU’s mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, and respectful collaboration</li>\n<li>Fostering an education environment supportive of the department’s mission</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Education &amp; Experience Requirements: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Communication Sciences and Disorders is required</li>\n<li>Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP) is required</li>\n<li>Current WV license in speech-language pathology and is within good standing with the West Virginia Board of<br>Examiners in Speech-Language and Audiology is required<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Skills/Abilities: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Familiarity with CAA accreditation standards</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated enthusiasm to engage in scholarship and professional development opportunities specific to the area of clinical education</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to exhibit knowledge and skills in the areas of evidence-based models of care, inter-professional education, critical thinking as it pertains to the clinical teaching-learning environment, and clinical teaching models</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated interest in clinical advising and mentoring of students</span></li>\n<li><span>Effective oral and written communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated ability to use technology appropriately</span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Why you should apply:  </span></span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>West Liberty University offers generous benefits, including approximately 2 days of annual leave (vacation) per month and 12-13 paid holidays.  Visit the WLU Benefit Page for more details: </span><a href=\"https://westliberty.edu/human-resources/employee-benefits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span>https://westliberty.edu/human-resources/employee-benefits</span></a></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>For the academic year employees, their dependents, and spouses are eligible for a 100% waiver for undergraduate tuition and only employees are eligible for 50% waiver for graduate tuition for certain programs.  </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Free use of the Wellness facilities and free admission into all WLU events with your employee Topper Card.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>For more information about living in the Wheeling area please visit <a href=\"https://weelunk.com/live-here/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wheeling: Live Here - Weelunk</a></span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>West Liberty University is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applications from all interested individuals.  Individuals who need assistance in the application process may contact Human Resources at </span><a href=\"mailto:[email protected]\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span>[email protected]. </span></a></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>West Liberty University does not sponsor work visas.  Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Successfully passing a background screening report is required for final employment. </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>West Liberty University is a tobacco free campus.</span></p>",
