    "description": "<h2>Nature and Scope</h2>\n<p>The Perioperative Nurse is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during various phases of the perioperative phase. Perioperative nurses use a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, assisting surgeons and surgical teams to care for a patient before, during, and after surgery (surgical procedures).
