On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a seasoned Power Generation Consultant on a contract basis.
T.EN Workforce Solutions (TWS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Technip Energies USA. Established in 2024 to serve as the in-house agency supporting the T.EN X business line with highly skilled PMC personnel, and where appropriate, also serve the remaining Technip Energies business lines within the broader U.S. market. Our focus includes fixed-term project staff, temporary supplemental personnel, W2 consultants, and subject matter experts on an ad-hoc basis.

About the opportunity we offer:
Purpose:
The Power Generation Consultant will develop models and sizing of major equipment to assist in conceptual studies, feasibility studies, Pre-FEED, FEED and Brownfield studies. Provides support to Development Planning studies across a range of Downstream and Energy Transition in Refining, Petrochemical and oil and gas projects. Supports other engineering projects as needed based on her/his specific competencies and skills. Liaise with subject matter experts across a wide range of disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Engagement: Meet with prospective and existing clients, including developers, sponsors, owners, lenders, ECAs, MDBs, and private equity funds. Support early-stage client engagement to understand project needs and promote services. Proposal & Project Support: Prepare technical and commercial proposals for power generation projects. Assist in project scoping, feasibility studies, and conceptual design. Project Management & Technical Support: Provide oversight and guidance during project development phases, including Feasibility, Concept, RE-FEED and FEED stages. Conduct detailed site assessments focusing on reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM). Perform CAPEX and OPEX benchmarking to support project economics. Technical Expertise & Analysis: Apply knowledge of Power Generation technologies including solar, wind, battery storage, and conventional plants. Utilize GT Pro/GT Master and PEACE software for thermodynamic modeling, configuration optimization, and selection studies. Conduct environmental, regulatory, and permitting assessments related to power projects. Support for Financial & Regulatory Processes: Assist in preparing documentation for project financing, including supporting lenders’ technical due diligence. Support clients through project approvals, permitting, and environmental compliance. Business Development & Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities within the power generation sector. Support project development activities through to financial close and beyond.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field. Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in power generation, including renewable energy (solar, wind, battery storage) and conventional power plants. Strong understanding of regulatory, permitting, and environmental aspects of power projects. Experience with data center power projects and front-end engineering services. Demonstrated capability in Concept Select, Feasibility, PRE-FEED, and FEED stages of project development. Expertise in site assessment, RAM studies, CAPEX/OPEX benchmarking, and reliability analysis. Proficiency with GT Pro/GT Master and PEACE thermodynamic modeling software. Familiarity with financial and technical advisory processes supporting project finance, including early client engagement. Experience supporting developers, sponsors, lenders, ECAs, MDBs, and private investors. Strong business development skills, with a track record of supporting projects through to financial close. Strong technical writing skills Effective time-management skills Strong problem-solving skills Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
