More ways to build a career that moves you forward.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>BMW of Atlantic City</strong>, is a part of <strong>Group 1 Automotive</strong>, a leader in automotive retail, is looking to add a qualified <strong>Controller/Accounting Manager </strong>to our team. The Controller/Accounting Manager oversees the dealership's accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and compliance activities. This role ensures accurate financial statements, provides financial analysis and forecasting support, and partners with leadership to drive operational efficiency and profitability.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares a complete financial statement monthly according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer’s format and time frame.</li>\n <li>Reconciles select accounts monthly.</li>\n <li>Interpret and complete the financial statement and submit it to the manufacturer</li>\n <li>Provides sales and expense analysis for dealership(s).</li>\n <li>Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate.</li>\n <li>Prints monthly journals, schedules and general ledger. Closes month by processing accounting month end.</li>\n <li>Participates in the preparation of short and long term forecasts.</li>\n <li>Assists in completion of annual audit.</li>\n <li>Ensures compliance with all government regulations.</li>\n <li>Stays abreast of current factory incentives and codes deliveries on dealership computer system accordingly.</li>\n <li>Compiles information and prepares reports as requested by management and/or dealer principal.</li>\n <li>Meets with each GM/department manager once a month to review the financial statement pointing out conditions which should be improved.</li>\n <li>Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.</li>\n <li>Three or more years experience as an Accounting Manager.</li>\n <li>Automotive dealership experience required</li>\n <li>Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel and Word.</li>\n <li>ADP Dealer Services Experience a plus.</li>\n <li>CDK software experience is a plus. </li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.</li>\n <li>Excellent customer service skills.</li>\n <li>Professional appearance and work ethic.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Ability to work well in a process driven environment.</li>\n <li>Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.</li>\n <li>Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation: The salary range expected for this position is $90’000 - $120’000 a year.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>What We Offer:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hybrid work schedule: Monday and Friday remote</li>\n <li>Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance</li>\n <li>401(k) plan with company match</li>\n <li>Paid Time-Off</li>\n <li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan</li>\n <li>Employee Vehicle Purchase Program</li>\n <li>Professional work environment with job training, provided equipment, and advancement opportunities</li>\n <li>Structured, paid training leading to manufacturer and Group 1 recognition</li>\n <li>Pinnacle Awards Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
