As an SBA-certified HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), we deliver quality, professional services to support the missions and strategic business goals of our clients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Title:</span> Senior IT Asset Management Specialist</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span></p>\n<p>University of Maryland Global Campus</p>\n<p>3501 University Blvd. East, Adelphi, MD 20783</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Period of Performance:</span></p>\n<p>1 year</p>\n<p>40 hours per week (no overtime). </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span> The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Senior IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist</span> is a key technical and strategic role responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, cloud services, and licenses) across the organization. This position ensures optimal utilization, cost efficiency, compliance with regulatory and vendor requirements, and alignment of IT assets with business objectives. The Senior Specialist provides leadership in process improvement, vendor negotiations, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration while mentoring junior team members and driving ITAM maturity.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the end-to-end IT asset lifecycle management: procurement, deployment, maintenance, optimization, and retirement/disposal of hardware, software, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and licensing.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and comprehensive asset inventories using CMDB, ITAM tools, and discovery solutions; ensure data integrity and reconciliation processes.</li>\n<li>Manage software license compliance, entitlements, true-ups, and audits; minimize over/under-licensing and associated financial risks.</li>\n<li>Analyze asset utilization, costs, and trends; provide recommendations for cost optimization, consolidation, and strategic sourcing.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, and IT Operations teams on contracts, budgeting, TCO analysis, and vendor management.</li>\n<li>Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting for internal controls, SOX, GDPR, or other regulatory requirements.</li>\n<li>Evaluate, implement, and optimize ITAM tools and automation (e.g., ServiceNow HAM Pro, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Microsoft SCCM/Intune, or similar tools).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications and Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience of 5+ years with major IT Asset Management platforms and discovery tools.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated success in managing large-scale software licensing programs and vendor audits (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, SAP, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Certifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with cloud asset management (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments is preferred.</li>\n<li>ITIL Foundation certification</li>\n<li>Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)</li>\n<li>IAITAM certifications (CHAMP, CSAM, etc.)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Skills and Competencies\\</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail</li>\n<li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities</li>\n<li>Deep understanding of licensing models, contracts, and financial aspects of IT assets</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced.</li>\n<li>Strong project management and IT change management skills</li>\n<li>Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITAM, HAM/SAM Pro, CMDB</li>\n<li>Experience with Agile methodologies and version control</li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving abilities</li>\n<li>Effective communication skills</li>\n<li>Stakeholder collaboration</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent work experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Join Our Team:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CMT Services</span>, we believe that extraordinary results come from empowering exceptional people.
