Associates receive meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to build a long-term career with a dynamic national law firm known for excellence in client service.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At KD, we foster a culture built on innovation, advancement, teamwork, and integrity, while offering a flexible and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and success.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Handle all phases of professional liability defense litigation from inception through resolution</li>\n <li>Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents</li>\n <li>Conduct legal research and assist with litigation strategy and case analysis</li>\n <li>Manage discovery, prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation</li>\n <li>Communicate directly with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and witnesses</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation matters</li>\n <li>Provide proactive case management and regular client reporting</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials</li>\n <li>Admission to the New York Bar in good standing</li>\n <li>2–5 years of litigation and/or professional liability defense experience</li>\n <li>Strong writing, analytical, research, and advocacy skills</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced litigation environment</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication and organizational skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why KD?</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation with robust discretionary and billable hours-based bonus opportunities</li>\n <li>Unlimited PTO for Attorneys</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health, wellness, and benefits package</li>\n <li>Uncapped opportunities for advancement and professional development</li>\n <li>Meaningful mentorship, training, and hands-on litigation experience</li>\n <li>Collaborative, team-first culture with direct client exposure and sophisticated legal work</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Base Salary Range</h2>\n<p>$110,000 – $155,000</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, experience, skills, and job-related qualifications.
