    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>Salary</strong>: $31.25 - $35.25/hour</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Stable and growing organization</li>\n <li>Competitive weekly pay</li>\n <li>Overtime after 40 hours</li>\n <li>Quick advancement</li>\n <li>Quality Hours</li>\n <li>Professional, positive and people-centered work environment</li>\n <li>Modern facilities</li>\n <li>Clean, late model equipment</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li>Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li>401(k) plan, Company Match</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Shifts:</strong>3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) |  Monday - Friday  | Shift Differential Eligible</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Trailer Mechanics are to perform maintenance service in which the volume and quality of work is within the acceptably measured standards for Dayton Freight Lines.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Has a fundamental understanding of repairing and rebuilding components on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers and can effectively repairs the following components:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Suspension and running gear components</li>\n   <li>Landing gear assembly and components</li>\n   <li>Wheel components and tires</li>\n   <li>Brake and air components</li>\n   <li>Electrical, lighting and wiring components</li>\n   <li>Rear frame and door components</li>\n   <li>Side, nose and roof components</li>\n   <li>Interior and floor components</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Able to thoroughly perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs</li>\n <li>Maintains a high level of welding and metal fabrication skills</li>\n <li>Performs service calls</li>\n <li>Washes and fuels equipment when necessary</li>\n <li>Road tests vehicles to ensure quality repair services were performed.*Dependent upon having a CDL</li>\n <li>Consistently positive attitude, interacting courteously and professionally with fellow employees</li>\n <li>Pro-actively assists, guides and directs junior technicians</li>\n <li>Be a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds and all equipment and tools</li>\n <li>Maintains a clean, safe environment that complies to OSHA and company standards</li>\n <li>Proficient in recording all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system</li>\n <li>Works with the Parts Department to assure that all necessary materials, parts, service and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels</li>\n <li>Works in compliance to EPA regulations as well as DOT and company safety requirements</li>\n <li>Performs other maintenance duties or assignments when necessary</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess a valid Driver's License</li>\n <li>Basic math skills</li>\n <li>Fluent in English</li>\n <li>Legally eligible to work in the United States</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>\n <li>Able to pass a drug screen</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Stable and growing organization</li>\n <li>Competitive weekly pay</li>\n <li>Overtime after 40 hours</li>\n <li>Quick advancement</li>\n <li>Quality Hours</li>\n <li>Professional, positive and people-centered work environment</li>\n <li>Modern facilities</li>\n <li>Clean, late model equipment</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li>Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li>401(k) plan, Company Match</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a Service Center and Shop environment.
