You will work closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and data acquisition teams to ensure data is ingested, transformed, and delivered efficiently and accurately. This role focuses on hands-on development, optimisation, and troubleshooting of data workflows, while contributing to the evolution of QS’s data architecture.<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">         Role responsibilities:</span><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured datasets.</li>\n<li>Support integration of external datasets into QS’s data lake and analytics platforms.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security.</li>\n<li>Assist in building automated workflows for data acquisition and validation.</li>\n<li>Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability.</li>\n<li>Work with APIs and web scraping tools to accelerate data acquisition projects.</li>\n<li>Document processes and contribute to improving engineering standards.</li>\n<li>Any other duties that fall within the scope and purpose of the role.<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key skills and experience:</span><br></li>\n<li>Experience in data engineering or related roles.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing.</li>\n<li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake).</li>\n<li>Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt) and version control (Git).</li>\n<li>Understanding of data modeling and pipeline optimization.</li>\n<li>Exposure to APIs and web scraping techniques is a plus.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">So, who are we and what do we do?<br><br></span><span>QS is the world leader in higher education services, analytics, insights and intelligence.
