    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong>Position Overview</strong> This is the fourth level of the Engineering classification.&nbsp;Provide engineering/technical expertise to solve complex problems and provide leadership skills to manage work in a specific area of expertise, with increased latitude for un-reviewed work.&nbsp;Incumbents are expected to have advanced skills and have the ability to work independently.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>With increased Latitude for Un-reviewed work, in the area of expertise will provide:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>coaches and mentors other Engineering professionals</span></li>\n <li><span>reviews work of subordinate Engineering professionals</span></li>\n <li><span>engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities</span></li>\n <li><span>thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches</span></li>\n <li><span>continuous improvement of job-related, engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance</span></li>\n <li><span>effective oral and written communication skills</span></li>\n <li><span>accurate records and files</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>8 to 12 years’ experience as a practicing engineer or equivalent.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>State registration as a Professional Engineer.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Skilled in engineering theories and principles.</span></li>\n <li><span>Skilled in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Good written and oral communication skills.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience in the utility industry.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>Other Skills/Abilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Self-Motivated</span></li>\n <li><span>Work independently</span></li>\n <li><span>Team-Oriented</span></li>\n <li><span>Customer Oriented</span></li>\n <li><span>Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Skilled in principles of project management</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div style=\"border:1.0pt solid windowtext; mso-border-alt:solid windowtext .5pt; mso-element:para-border-div; padding:1.0pt 4.0pt\">\n <p><span>NOTE:&nbsp;This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
