We offer company events, activities, and opportunities to participate in charitable initiatives that benefit the communities where we work.&nbsp;</p><p><a href=\"https://www.sms-group.us/\" target=\"_blank\">www.sms-group.us</a>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you&#39;ll do&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Perform inspections and repairs as well as provide installation support of new or revamped equipment.</li><li>Assist in developing proposals and offers for mechanical upgrades and repairs along with implementation of tailored predictive and preventive maintenance programs.</li><li>Ensure pre-inspections of equipment to assess the potential scope of repair.</li><li>Review detailed inspection records and data to define the precise scope of repair.</li><li>Determine the order in which the equipment is to be repaired.</li><li>Monitor, review and report on equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements</li><li>Manage all the inventory required for the repair of equipment</li><li>Review work practices and procedures to ensure quality and productivity</li><li>Review cost of repairs</li><li>Ensure all activities comply to the plants quality procedures</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned or requested.</li><li>Directly supervises customer&rsquo;s employees.&nbsp;</li><li>Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization&#39;s policies and applicable laws.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What you&#39;ll need</strong></p><ul><li>Result focused, well organized, self-motivated person with excellent investigative skills.</li><li>Strong commitment to providing superior customer service in conjunction with excellent communication skills on all levels.</li><li>Need to have advanced training as a mechanical technician with several years of field service experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree is a plus but not required.</li><li>&nbsp;Need to have sound knowledge and understanding of machinery basics, a high aptitude in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.</li><li>Knowledge of Standard MS Office application.</li><li>A willingness to travel extensively to our customers in United States and Mexico is an important component of the position.</li></ul><p><strong>What we do&nbsp;</strong></p><p>SMS group is the leading partner in the world of metals.
