Global Compliance
Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.
Global Banking & Markets Compliance (“GBM Compliance”) is responsible for comprehensively identifying and managing the regulatory, legal, and reputational risks within Global Banking & Markets (“GBM”).
Job Summary:
The Core team within GBM Compliance oversees the integrated Compliance Program for GBM globally. This includes the periodic Compliance Risk Assessment of GBM, GBM regulatory change management program, governance of GBM Compliance Policies and Procedures, Firmwide Designated Market Activity Risk Assessment, and implementation of strategic initiatives. We are looking for a team member to support the identification, assessment, management, monitoring and reporting of regulatory changes across GBM Compliance while serving as a key participant in the redesign and implementation of the future state regulatory change management program for GBM. At times, the role will require navigating and problem solving across multiple teams and stakeholders bearing in mind timelines and a senior audience.
Principal Responsibilities:
Contribute to execution of firm risk assessments, including the Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes. Participate in trend analysis and review / challenge of assessments
Support the governance framework of Regulatory Change Management program
Assist with the implementation of strategic initiatives across GBM Core Compliance, including initiatives touching risk assessments, policies & procedures, and regulatory change management
Participate in compliance-led projects and represent team on firmwide and cross regional projects and working groups
Liaise with Compliance, Risk, Technology, Legal and other Federation areas
Deal with ad hoc requests and initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Experience or exposure to Enterprise Risk Programs, including risk assessments
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and governance processes
Strong Excel skills, including ability to analyze large datasets and develop reporting
Strong PowerPoint skills, with experience developing executive-level presentations that synthesize complex data into clear, structured messaging
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across levels and functions
Ability to analyze processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Demonstrated curiosity, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Ability to adapt to change and operate effectively in evolving regulatory environments
Prior exposure to FICC, Equities or Investment Banking preferred
