Repairs consist of roadside emergency repairs, and minor to major repairs to diesel engine vehicles. Road Service Technicians are required to work diligently with all Dispatch team members. On-Call availability is required. Additional duties will be required as necessary. Managers oversee Road Service Technicians, which includes but is not limited to Scheduling, Interpersonal issues, and training.</p><p><em><strong>Standard (40) hour week, weekend availability is a must. The position has an hourly rate $35-$40/HR. plus a competitive commission, with earning potential up to $140,000 per year.</strong></em></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform emergency roadside assistance, repairs, services, and diagnostics to diesel vehicles and equipment.</li><li>Perform brake work, electrical work, tire removal and installation.</li><li>Perform engine and power train repairs.</li><li>Perform advanced tasks related to troubleshooting.</li><li>Perform tasks related to AC and emission systems.</li><li>Obtain necessary parts (when not in inventory) as needed.</li><li>Test drive trucks, trailers and equipment as needed.</li><li>Ensure all safety protocols are followed when performing tasks.</li><li>Maintain proper communication with Dispatchers, Parts Counter Specialists and Management.</li><li>Process customer payments via credit card terminal.</li><li>Swiftly, calmly, and professionally rectify customer issues that may arise.</li><li>Submit all documentation, receipts, invoices to bookkeeper/dispatcher in prompt/timely manner.</li><li>Ensure the assigned company truck is kept clean and presentable.</li><li>Regularly wash truck during down time.</li><li>Report any problems with truck to management immediately.</li><li>Perform accident procedures as needed.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe workspace.</li><li>Perform additional tasks as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A valid driver&#8217;s license.</li><li>Current DOT Medical Card</li><li>Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.</li><li>Good interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED and certification and training in diesel engine repair.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of vehicles, their electrical systems, and the mechanisms of gas and diesel engines.</li><li>Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits Include:</strong></p><ul><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.</li><li>Life and Disability plans.</li><li>AFLAC</li><li>401K</li><li>Paid time off and holidays.</li></ul><p><strong>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.</strong></p>",
