Learn more by visiting www.geosyntec.com Essential Duties and Responsibilities Construct hydrologic and hydraulic models for a range of projects from watershed level studies to mining projects to floodplain analyses to stormwater management work for land development projects Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses on a wide variety of projects requiring water resources input Preparation of engineering calculations, designs and data analysis; Preparation of technical reports to communicate design intent, data analysis and field investigation findings; Field work including site investigation, monitoring, infrastructure evaluations, construction supervision, process troubleshooting; and Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, auditing, resource optimization, and permitting. Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, boater certification, defensive driving certification, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants. Fieldwork: up to 30% anticipated (may vary seasonally) Overnight travel: Up to 10% anticipated (may vary seasonally) Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in water resources, environmental, or civil engineering or similar. (required) Advanced degree in water resources, environmental, or civil engineering or similar. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications Prior co-op or internship experience in environmental or civil consulting. (preferred) Experience with a broad range of engineering software including SWMM and Hec‑RAS (preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (required) Eligible to be licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario, or upon the completion of the mandatory work requirement. (required) Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees.
