Description

We are looking for a part-time Front-of-House Associate to support the day-to-day operations of Rove Kyoto’s coworking space and lounge. This is a highly front-facing role suited for someone who is warm, polished, confident speaking with guests, and comfortable supporting both hospitality and sales-driven conversations. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for guests, prospects, members, and clients, creating a warm, polished, and welcoming experience. Manage front desk responsibilities, including greeting guests, answering basic questions, visitor check-ins, phones/emails, mail/packages, and day-to-day client support. Support walk-ins and prospective members by explaining coworking memberships, pricing, amenities, and space offerings. Conduct office and coworking tours, answer questions confidently, and help convert interested prospects into signed clients. Lead matcha tea tasting workshops for groups of up to 12 guests, including welcoming guests, explaining the experience, guiding the tasting, and supporting setup/cleanup. Help foster a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere by forming relationships with members, engaging with guests, and creating an energetic, inclusive environment. Keep the space organized, presentable, and guest-ready throughout the day. Support showroom and furniture sales as needed, including answering basic product questions and directing guests to the appropriate team member when needed. Requirements Confident speaking with guests, leading tours, and presenting information to small groups. Sales-oriented and comfortable explaining memberships, answering pricing questions, and helping convert walk-ins or tour guests into clients. Comfortable leading small group experiences, including matcha tea tasting workshops for up to 12 guests. Strong communication and customer service skills. Organized, reliable, proactive, and able to notice what needs to be done without always being asked. Comfortable using basic tools such as email, calendar bookings, spreadsheets, and workplace software. Able to stay calm, warm, and professional in a busy environment. Interest in coworking, hospitality, community, design, or Japanese-inspired experiences is an asset.
