Position Overview
BayCare Medical Group is seeking a qualified candidate with academic and leadership experience to serve in a new role as the founding Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at North Bay Hospital, New Port Richey, Florida. The ideal candidate must be clinically active, either ambulatory or hospital-based, demonstrating ongoing academic involvement, passion for resident education, plus a desire to collaborate with his or her colleagues.
The Ambulatory Internal Medicine Associate Program Director is part of the BayCare Health System GME leadership team and involves a combination of duties at their respective IM residency - NBH (20% administrative responsibilities and 80% clinical duties). Administratively, you will collaborate with the Program Director in developing, implementing, and reviewing all aspects of the Ambulatory Internal Medicine Training Curriculum. Your clinical responsibilities will predominantly include precepting residents, with the possibility of a limited number of continuity clinics in an ambulatory setting in New Port Richey . This full-time Monday-Friday position offers an outstanding work/life balance—competitive Salary and bonus.
Qualifications
BC by the American Board of Internal Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in internal medicine
Experience in medical education and/or student/resident teaching
Ambulatory experience required
Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
