The ADON supports the overall operation of the facility, assuring adherence to company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations, in order to promote the highest quality care for our residents and patients.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<strong>Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered Nurse in good standing with required current Florida state license.</li>\n <li>Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.</li>\n <li>Experience in Long Term Care Nursing. </li>\n <li>One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have a current/active CPR certification.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to work under stressful conditions.</li>\n <li>https://info.flclearinghouse.com/  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<strong>Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents</li>\n <li>Responsible for coordinating infection control</li>\n <li>Responsible for educating the staff</li>\n <li>Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication withal levels of nursing staff</li>\n <li>Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services</li>\n <li>Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice</li>\n <li>Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records</li>\n <li>Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff</li>\n <li>Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs</li>\n</ul>",
